Some people just have too much creativity to be kept boxed up. This fine young lad decided his closet doors were much too mundane for his liking. Whilst having lovely members of the opposite sex visit your bedroom, ambiance is key. What follows is a reproduction of the Great Wave off Kanagawa, which is a famous print of Japanese wood block roots.

It took three months to complete, but as you can see here, it was worth it.

Step 1, clean the doors for a fresh canvas

By using a grid like you did in high school, he kept things in proportion

Such fine detail required months of painstaking effort

If he moves, he should take the doors with him

This guy must have the patience of Job to be able to hang in there that long to ensure his Great Wave mural came out to perfection. You better get started now if you want one in your room :-)

These two guys are most likely certifiable. You know, like clinically insane. Well, maybe they aren’t – but they are brave. Made of Brass. Vadhim Mahora and Ritaliy Raskalov are not afraid of heights as you might notice. These are the pictures of them climbing the second tallest skyscraper in the world.

Be careful, if you are afraid of heights, you may not even want to look at these!

Vadim and Ritaliy were traveling through China with the sole goal…

The Shanghai tower is the 2nd tallest skyscraper in the entire world!
3mashtopclimbed-tower3
Yes, they might be crazy.
4mashtopclimbed-tower4
Planning their stunt during the Chinese New Year gave them a window of opportunity
5mashtopclimbed-tower5
They decided to break in

Climb 120 stories on foot

Then rested until good weather arrived.
8mashtopclimbed-tower8
They even scaled the crane that was atop of the tower.
9mashtopclimbed-tower9
You’ve never seen anything like it.
10mashtopclimbed-tower10
Don’t look down!
11mashtopclimbed-tower11
I couldn’t do this.
12mashtopclimbed-tower12
Would you?

I think I’ll stick to ground level.

Blink Blink

Luke Mandle had sent this photo to boing boing of his young son crafting some pancakes. If you’ll notice, there is a peculiar difference between his image on the left vs the image captured in the screen reflection.

Do you know why his eyes are closed on the left but open on the right? Check below the picture for the answer:

Answer! If one blinks faster than the shutter on the camera taking the picture, you may see this effect!
